Yes we do however in some cases we can not fix when there is excessive amounts of water inside the Motherboard

• if we need to replace any parts due to them being damaged, then there are parts cost/s associated to the repair too.

Our Customers sometimes will have a choice on Genuine Parts or Premium Aftermarket Parts. Obviously Genuine Parts are more expensive at times and Premium Aftermarket Parts can be cheaper however please note we provide a Warranty with all our repairs for your peice of mind.

Screen Repairs can take 30 - 45 Minutes depending on the iPhone Model. A lot of the later iPhone from iPhone X - iPhone 13 Pro Max can take sometimes 15-30 Minutes to repair and some of the earlier generation takes 30 - 40 minutes to repair!

We are different at Cairns Phone Repairs! We replace the Screen Adhesive Bezel on all our Repairs when having to lift the screen off our Mobile Phone Repairs. This adds extra protection from any debris and or moisture from getting into the phone later down the track!

Yes,  Cairns Phone Repairs accepts Afterpay in store for your repair and or accessories. Please note there is a 6.9% Surcharge on top of the checkout price.

There a few options for water damaged devices:

1. Check to see if the phone will vibrate when charging! this is usually a really good sign that the phone is operational in the back end and may need a new screen only. If this is the case we can clean the phone out and swap out the screen for a new one. 

Cleaning Fee on its own is $79 for our cleaning gear and time however if it requires any parts we only charge for the parts replacement cost which includes our labour and we will also clean it out at no further cost.

2. I have a moisture symbol pop up on screen when charging the phone. A lot of the time when this moisture symbol appears, the phone is detecting moisture in the charging slot. We can open the phone up and clean it out. A lot of the time it just needs cleaning out however sometimes you may need a new charging port due to corrosion build up

3. If the phone still wont turn on even after cleaning and or changing parts out its most likely going to be that the Motherboard has tripped out which is normally cheaper buying a new device.

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button.
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

There is a proximity sensor (above the receiver at the top) on all iPhones. That sensor, when you hold your device close to your ear, make the screen black and unresponsive, so that you cannot touch anything inadvertently.

Scroll down and select Accessibility. Select Touch. Scroll down and turn on the switch next to Prevent Lock to End Call. Your phone calls should now no longer end when you lock your iPhone's screen.

Sometimes anything that is blocking the Proximity Sensor such as Screen Protectors, Phone Cases, human body oil deposits can block the Proximity Sensor. By Removing these can help prevent the Proximity Sensor from not working.

Typically, when your iPhone holds less than 80% of its maximum capacity, it's time to upgrade the battery. You can check your battery's health by going to Settings then Battery Health.

If your Battery is at this stage, we can replace your battery! Battery cost is generally between $55 to $125 depending on the Model of iPhone.
